CRAWLSPACE ENCAPSULATION SYSTEM 1. Remove any debris from crawlspace floor. 2. Install (2) passive vents. 3. Seal all remaining vents from the inside using foam block insulation. 4. Mechanically fasten a 12- mil reinforced liner to the top of foundation wall approximately 4” below framing using termination bar and an elastomeric sealer. 5. Install a dimpled delta matting to dirt crawlspace floor. 6. Install a 20-mil reinforced liner to cover all exposed earth, overlap all seams 16”, seal with seam weld and tape the free edge. 7. Install (1) commercial grade AprilAire EO70 energy star rated 70 pint per day dehumidifier/air-filtration system with discharge line tied into condensation pump. 8. Install (1) dedicated electrical outlet at dehumidifier/air-filtration location. 9. Clean work area and remove all construction related debris. NOTE: See terms and conditions for additional information. Liner carries a life of structure warranty against rips or punctures. Dehumidifier/air filtration system carries a 5 year warranty. In a small percentage of encapsulations, due to organic decomposition, an unpleasant smell may be detected. In those cases, a soil gas mitigation system will need to be installed at additional cost. This price does not include a crawlspace drainage system. Although the area appears to be dry that is not always an indication of future water infiltration. If water infiltration occurs in the future, additional work will be required at additional cost.
