Mr. Furlow, We thank you for the opportunity to bid on the Retreat at Harrisonburg, Foundation Stabilization Design project. We are confident that your project will be properly executed and completed in a timely fashion. The remaining portion of this letter is intended to inform you of our experience and qualifications. I, Charles (Chuck) Irby, V.P. of Geotechnical Services, entered the specialty foundation industry in 1987. I started my own business “Extreme Technology’s, Inc. (X-Tech) in 1997. X-Tech’s primary services were specialty foundation with the bulk of the work being related to pressure grouting, pile and anchor installation. Between the years of 1997 and 2008, X-Tech performed a vast mix of residential and commercial specialty foundation projects, new construction and rehabilitation. The economy crashed, in 2008, we then turned our focus to commercial, municipal and industrial applications. X-Tech’s annual revenue over the last ten years had been approximately $2,000,000.00. In September of 2013 X-Tech merged with Engineered Solutions of Georgia (ESOG). ESOG was founded in 2006. ESOG’s primary market source has been residential foundation remediation and merged with X-Tech to tap into the commercial, municipal and industrial markets. ESOG’s revenue in 2014 exceeded $5,300,000.00. ESOG is an Engineering Firm that specializes in specialty foundations applications including new construction and remediation. Chris Grubb, our Director of Engineering is a licensed P.E. in thirteen states (See attached) While we may be a small specialty foundation contractor, we are equipped and staffed with the expertise your project will require and will ensure unmatched performance at your site. We all essentially “Grew up” putting grout and steel into the ground. The following is a short list of commercial, new construction helical/micro piles and Tie-Back projects we have performed over the last several years. Not to mention the thousands of residential foundation stabilization projects using helical/micro piles. I have also added a few old “X-Tech references on the second page you provided. In addition I have added a list of professional references of engineers and contractors who we believe prefer our services.
